Creative Computing was a long-running early microcomputer magazine published from 1974 to 1985. Unlike later magazines, it covered a wide range of systems including the TRS-80.
In 1983, Creative Computing Press published three books collecting articles from the magazine targeted at specific computers: The Creative Atari, The Creative Apple, and The Creative TRS-80.
The Creative TRS-80, edited by Ken Mazur with a preface by Associate Editor John Anderson, contains over 100 articles split into nine categories: hardware, software, business, productivity, programming tips, games, graphics/music, word processing, and education.
Highlights include interviews, game reviews, programming tips, and series on TRS-80 graphics. The book also includes a collection of “TRS-80 Strings” columns by Stephen B. Gray covering 1982-1983.
This book offers an interesting snapshot of the TRS-80 community circa 1983, emphasizing publishing and programming culture at a formative time.
