The TRS-80 was introduced at the start of the microcomputer revolution when everything was brand new. There was a great demand for new hardware and software, and new companies sprang up to meet that demand. Some of these businesses survived for only a short while, while others lasted for the entire life of the TRS-80 market. A handful of them even exist in some form today.
